5 Closing Arguments for an Albanese Labor Government

It’s time for change. It’s time for Anthony Albanese and the Labor party to be elected into Government by the Australian people. I’m proud to be an Australian voter in this election.

There are 5 closing arguments for an Albanese Labor Government:

1. Scott Morrison has an anti-LGBTQI agenda
2. Peter Dutton as Prime Minister
3. Anthony Albanese and a Federal ICAC
4. Penny Wong and Tanya Plibersek
5. Protect transgender Australians

Australia has a choice. To support the candidate who (a) was close to Donald Trump, (b) endorsed the anti-trans candidate, (c)who was called “horrible” by Gladys Berejeklian, and (d) may facilitate the rise of Peter Dutton as Prime Minister.

Or, Australia can choose Anthony, Penny, and Tanya.

  1. Scott Morrison’s Anti-LGBTQI Agenda

There will be a change if Scott Morrison’s Government is re-elected. There will be a shift to the Right.

There will be a Religious Discrimination Bill without LGBTQ protections. The ABC reported on 7 May: “The Prime Minister is standing by his decision to push ahead with the religious discrimination act without making changes to protect gay students at the same time.”

The Prime Minister is also willing to endorse candidates who make bizarre anti-transgender statements. The Australian Jewish News noted, “The Warringah candidate likened her lobbying to stop transgender athletes from competing in women’s sport to standing up against the Nazis during the Holocaust.” Support for this blatant transphobic hate-speech has no place in Australia.

2. Peter Dutton as Prime Minister

Peter Dutton

Peter Dutton came within 5 votes in the party room of being Prime Minister in 2018. He called for a spill against Malcolm Turnbull. In 2019, he stated, “It was pretty straightforward and honest. What I was going to suggest to Malcolm is that actually he resign so we didn’t need a ballot and we didn’t need any division.”

In February 2022, SMH interviewed Dutton and he stated, “I’m part of a team and I’ve been part of a Liberal team for a long time. We’re weeks, literally weeks, out from calling an election and changing a leader now is not in our party or our country’s best interests.” This is not a ringing endorsement of Scott Morrison. The Prime Minister’s days as leader are numbered.

3. Anthony Albanese’s and a Federal ICAC

Christian Porter and Scott Morrison

Anthony Albanese is a trustworthy person. In 2013, Perth Now reported that “Asked on Triple J’s Hack show if Labor would make gay marriage happen, Mr Albanese, restricted to one-word answers, said: “Yes”.

A local from the neighborhood of Camperdown in Sydney, he is also a graduate of the University of Sydney. He served under both PM’s Rudd and Gillard with distinction and supports an Indigenous Voice to Parliament for First Nation’s Australians in a new Labor Government. In addition, in April, the Guardian reported that “Anthony Albanese says he will legislate a national anti-corruption commission by the end of 2022 if Labor wins the election.”

4. Penny Wong and Tanya Plibersek

It doesn’t have to be like this. As Foreign Minister and Education Minister, Penny and Tanya will make things better.

Let’s just say that one more time: Foreign Minister Penny Wong. Education Minister Tanya Plibersek.

5. Protect transgender Australians

Lastly, Australia is better than this. In fact, Australia has the chance to be the leading nation for trans rights in the world by rejecting these pedophile, Nazi comparisons that deserve no shelter in common-sense Australia. Our trans community deserves better.
